Head, Business Development & Marketing (Ref: LASH – BDM) \ Lagos

The Head, Business Development & Marketing will drive the development and implementation of the Agency’s strategic and tactical plans for customer acquisition, income generation, awareness creation, and the achievement of growth objectives. The jobholder will facilitate enabling partnerships and alliances, manage strategic relationships and stakeholders, and develop winning marketing and communications strategies.

RSPONSIBILITIES
STRATEGY & PLANNING
 Lead the development of the customer acquisition strategy, business plan and budget, to drive enrollee and income growth and the
achievement of set goals and targets.
 Develop integrated marketing strategies, pricing and sales plans.
 Develop supporting implementation plans to drive the execution of strategies and business plans.
 Lead market research, market and competitor analysis, for insights to support business decision making, and identify opportunities as well as
threats; leverage knowledge of the market and competitors to identify and develop the Agency’s unique selling propositions and
differentiators.
 Track and monitor business development and marketing performance in line with defined goals and metrics; deploy appropriate
interventions where necessary.
 Provide expert advice on business development and marketing.
 Keep abreast of economic, industry, market and regulatory trends, ascertain their (potential) impact on the Agency, advice management
accordingly and take appropriate action to strengthen the Agency’s position.
 Present periodic reports to management as required.

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
 Prospect for and identify new business opportunities.
 Lead the business development team to develop business cases and undertake other vital analysis to support decision making.
 Manage and coordinate business development activities throughout the market (pitching, lead generation etc.).
 Identify appropriate customer groups to target; design optimal outreach strategies for prospects; identify appropriate and effective ways to
position the Agency’s services and value-add.
 Work with the business development and marketing team to develop, negotiate and win long term profitable and sustainable business.

QUALIFICATION
 Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or a related field
 MBA or relevant Master’s degree would be an added advantage
 Professional certification in Marketing from a recognized body

EXPERIENCE
 Minimum of 8 years marketing experience with at least five years in managerial capacity
 Experience in the health services industry would be an added advantage
